We’re looking for a high-energy Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our fast-growing team. As a BDR at Sawmill, you’ll be at the forefront of our prospecting efforts, identifying and engaging potential customers who will benefit from our innovative platform. You’ll play a key role in driving pipeline growth by setting qualified meetings for our sales team, leveraging a mix of research, cold outreach, inbound nurture and creative engagement strategies. In this role, you will:
- Proactively identify and engage prospects within our respective ICP
- Conduct outbound outreach via cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn to generate and qualify leads.
- Respond and qualify inbound demo sales demo requests
- Clearly articulate Sawmill’s value proposition, focusing on AI-driven telemetry management and cost optimization.
- Work closely with sales and marketing to refine messaging, identify target accounts, and optimize outbound campaigns.
- Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions in our CRM and track key sales metrics.
- Experiment with new approaches to break into accounts and secure meetings with decision-makers
- Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive positioning, and emerging technologies in observability and AI.
Who you are
- 1-3 years of BDR/SDR experience in a SaaS or tech environment (DevOps or observability experience a plus).
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a passion for breaking into new accounts.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for technical audiences.
- Comfortable using sales tools like Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and intent data platforms.
- Results-driven mindset with a track record of hitting or exceeding quotas.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
